聚乙烯是塑料工业中产量最高的品种。聚乙烯是不透明或半透明、质轻的结晶性塑料，具有优良的耐低温性能（最低使用温度可达－70 ~ －100℃），电绝缘性、化学稳定性好，能耐大多数酸碱的侵蚀，但不耐热。聚乙烯适宜采用注塑、吹塑、挤塑等方法加工。 PE根据密度不同可分为：低密度聚乙烯LDPE；高密度聚乙烯HDPE；线性低密度聚乙烯LLDPE。

HDPE(孖力士)高密度聚乙烯High Density Polyethylene HDPE 包装,建材,水桶,玩具等。

改性聚乙烯类
EVA(橡皮胶)乙烯-醋酸乙烯脂 Ethylene-Vinyl Acetate EVA 鞋底,薄膜,板片,通管,日用品等。
LLDPE是线型低密度聚乙烯（Linear Low Density Polyethylene），是由乙烯和己烯共聚合而成。LLDPE3224是一个线性低密度聚乙烯的一个牌号，是台湾台塑生产的一个牌号。LDF200GG是马来西亚TITANLENE公司生产一个牌号。也是低密度聚乙烯，但是不是线性低密度聚乙烯，和上面那个的聚合方法不同。

Polyethylene (PE)

Polyethylene is the highest yielding product in the plastics industry. Polyethylene is an opaque or translucent, lightweight crystalline plastic with excellent low temperature resistance (minimum use temperature of -70 ~ -100 °C), electrical insulation, good chemical stability, and resistance to most acids and bases erosion but not heat. Polyethylene is suitable for processing by injection molding, blow molding and extrusion. According to different density, PE can be divided into: low density polyethylene LDPE; high density polyethylene HDPE; linear low density polyethylene LLDPE.

Modified polyethylene

EVA (rubber) ethylene vinyl acetate Ethylene-Vinyl Acetate EVA soles, films, plates, pipes, daily necessities and so on.

LLDPE is Linear Low Density Polyethylene, which is a copolymer of ethylene and hexene. LLDPE3224 is a grade of linear low density polyethylene, a grade of Taiwan Formosa Plastics. LDF200GG is a grade produced by TITANLENE, Malaysia. Also low density polyethylene, but not linear low density polyethylene, different from the polymerization method of the above.
